What we do
Six services, in the order most yards need them.
We draw the plan, build it, then keep it on a maintenance schedule. You approve each stage before the next one starts.

Landscape design & planning
A drawn plan, a species list suited to the coast, and a budget you approve line by line before anything is dug.

Planting & drip irrigation
Graded soil, coastal-tolerant species and drip lines zoned to the way water actually moves across your lot.

Patios, paths & retaining walls
Pavers and concrete set to fall away from the house, with walls built to hold the grade you want.

Low-voltage lighting
Path lights and uplights on one transformer and one timer, aimed so the garden reads after dark.

Turf removal & drought conversion
Thirsty lawn out, gravel, mulch and natives in — planting that still looks alive at the end of August.

Garden care & maintenance
Scheduled pruning, feeding and irrigation checks that keep the build looking like the plan.

Walk the site
We measure, check sun and drainage, and watch how you actually use the yard — where you sit, where the dog runs, where the hose ends up.

Design & plant list
You get a drawn plan, a plant list chosen for salt air and clay soil, and numbers you can check before committing.

Build
Paving, planting, irrigation and lighting go in on one schedule, so nothing sits half-finished waiting on another trade.

Aftercare
We set the irrigation, walk you through the controls, and keep the garden on a maintenance schedule if you'd rather not touch it.

Barba Landscape & Design runs out of 710 Marine St, a few minutes from the sand. We're a design-and-build shop: the person who draws your plan is the person who walks the site with the crew that plants it.
Days start at six, so paving and planting happen before the marine layer lifts and the light goes flat. We work onsite across Santa Monica and the Westside, and we answer the phone ourselves.
